| McLean Homes~NHBC 'Pride in the Job' Award |

 On 20th August 2002 we were pleased to be able to join Robert Tudor and his team at McLean Homes as they collected an NHBC 'Pride in the Job' Quality Award for their Canterbury Gate Development at Pontprennau near Cardiff.
Robert, pictured centre and looking particularly proud is flanked by his Site Deputy, Paul Morgan (right), and our very own Mr Brian Magee who is the regular driver charged with keeping the site roads and gullies clean.
Their awards were presented by Mr Phil Towl, Managing Director for George Wimpey South West, and having started my career in construction with 'Uncle George' back in 1973 at their Birmingham Office (Dept 20)as a trainee Quantity Surveyor, I was proud to once again be part of the 'team'.
Congratulations to you all, and we wish you continued success in future rounds of the competition which include the Seal of Excellence Award, followed by Regional and National Awards, although we understand that daily sweeping is required to achieve success in these later stages!!!!
